Online IP address check
Find out your IP address, geolocation, provider, and ASN. Free IP check via whois and RIPE — the official source of geo data for European IPs. Technical information: device type, browser, OS. IPv4 only.
Infrastructure in numbers
ProxyElite checks IPs via its own infrastructure. 895,824 IPv4 in the pool, own datacenter since 2012 — we know how IP addresses work because we manage them directly.
Your IP address and technical information
Data is determined automatically from your connection. If you use a proxy or VPN, the proxy server's IP will be displayed, not your real address.
IP ADDRESS INFORMATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The map shows the approximate location of the region based on the IP address. Accuracy — down to the region per RIPE data.
Why check your IP address
IP checking solves specific tasks: from parser debugging to proxy verification. Below are typical scenarios when knowing your IP matters.
Anonymity check
If you use a proxy or VPN — check what's displayed: your real IP or the proxy's address. The HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR header should not be passed.
Parser and bot debugging
Check which IP your Python script or ZennoPoster uses to access the site. If the proxy IP isn't substituted — the problem is in the configuration.
Geo-targeted ad testing
Check that the IP address matches the desired country. An ISP proxy with Comcast ASN will show "USA", with BT ASN — "United Kingdom".
Provider ASN check
Find out your IP's ASN via RIPE. If it shows OVH or Hetzner — it's a datacenter. If Comcast or BT — a real ISP (important for ISP proxies).
Block diagnostics
If a site has blocked you — check the IP. The IP may have gotten into a ban list. ProxyElite replaces IPs for free during the rental period.
Geolocation check
Make sure the IP shows the desired country. Important for SEO monitoring, traffic arbitrage, and testing ads by region.
Account security
Before logging into sensitive accounts (banking, crypto), check the IP. Changing IPs between sessions may trigger anti-fraud.
Whitelist check
If you added your IP to the proxy's whitelist — check that it's the one displayed. The provider's NAT may change the IP.
How IP checking works
Technical mechanics without simplifications. Clear what exactly happens when you open the IP check page.
IP detection
The server detects your IP via headers: HTTP_CF_CONNECTING_IP (Cloudflare), HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR (proxy), REMOTE_ADDR (direct connection).
If you're behind a proxy or VPN — the proxy's IP will be displayed, not your real address.
Geolocation via RIPE
The IP is checked via ip-api.com with the lang=en parameter. The data source is the RIPE Database, the official registry of European IPs.
Accuracy — down to the region. The 2IP, MaxMind databases may show other data due to update delay.
ASN and provider detection
The ASN (Autonomous System Number) — the autonomous system's number — is determined from the IP. The provider can be found from the ASN: AS7922 — Comcast, AS3320 — Deutsche Telekom.
For ISP proxies, ProxyElite uses IPs with real provider ASN — this passes anti-fraud.
Technical information
Browser, OS, screen resolution are determined via navigator.userAgent and window.screen. This information is visible to sites — it's called a "fingerprint".
For anonymity, use anti-detect browsers (Dolphin Anty, AdsPower) together with proxies.
Your IP vs ProxyElite proxies
Quick table: what the site sees when you access directly and through a proxy. Detailed plan comparison — on the prices page.

What is an IP address and how to check it
A practical breakdown without marketing. If you want to understand what an IP is, how to check it, and why — here's an honest technical answer.
What is an IP address
An IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is a unique numeric identifier of a device in a computer network. An IPv4 address consists of four numbers from 0 to 255 separated by dots (for example, 192.0.2.1). Without an IP address, a device cannot send and receive data on the internet — it's like a postal address for data packets. IPv4 is 32-bit, which gives about 4.3 billion addresses. IPv6 is 128-bit, but most sites and anti-fraud systems still work with IPv4. ProxyElite sells only IPv4 proxies because it provides predictable compatibility with any site, social network, and anti-fraud system without additional diagnostics.
How to find out your IP address
Open the ip.php page on the ProxyElite website — your IP address will be displayed automatically at the top of the page. The country, region, provider, ASN, device type, browser, and operating system are also shown. If you use a proxy or VPN, the proxy server's IP will be displayed, not your real address. This is a simple way to check anonymity: open the page through a proxy and make sure the IP has changed. If your real IP is displayed — the proxy is configured incorrectly or isn't working. For a deep check, use ipinfo.io/json — this service shows the ASN and provider, which lets you determine whether your traffic goes through a datacenter or a real ISP.
What is IP geolocation
IP geolocation is the determination of the approximate location of a device based on its IP address. Accuracy depends on the database: RIPE (the official registry for European IPs) gives accuracy down to the region, commercial databases (MaxMind, IP2Location) — down to the city. ProxyElite checks geolocation exclusively via RIPE — this is the official source. The 2IP, MaxMind databases may show other data due to update delay. It's important to understand: IP geolocation is an approximate estimate, not an exact location. An IP address is assigned to the provider, not to a specific device. If you use mobile internet, the IP may change when switching between towers. If you're behind a corporate NAT, the IP may be shared by thousands of devices.
What is ASN and how to check it
ASN (Autonomous System Number) is a unique number of the autonomous system that owns the IP address block. The provider can be determined from the ASN: AS7922 — Comcast, AS3320 — Deutsche Telekom, AS2856 — BT, AS24940 — Hetzner, AS16276 — OVH. ASN can be checked via the RIPE Database or ipinfo.io. This is critically important for ISP proxies: if whois shows the ASN of a real provider (Comcast, BT), anti-fraud systems treat the IP as "home". If the ASN points to hosting (Hetzner, OVH) — it's a datacenter IP that may be blocked. ProxyElite uses only IPs with real provider ASN for ISP proxies — this passes anti-fraud checks on Facebook, Google, marketplaces.
How to hide your IP address
You can hide your IP via a proxy server or VPN. A proxy substitutes your IP with its own — the target site sees the proxy's address, not your real one. ProxyElite offers four types of IPv4 proxies: datacenter (from $0.065/IP, datacenter), rotating (from $25/1M requests, IP change on each request), personal (from $3.68/IP, dedicated address), and ISP (from $0.175/IP, provider ASN). All operate at the Elite level — the HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR header is not passed, the real IP is completely hidden. The difference between a VPN and a proxy: a VPN encrypts all system traffic, a proxy works at the application level (browser, Python script). For parsing and automation, a proxy is more convenient — you can use different IPs for different tasks.
IPv4 vs IPv6: what's the difference
IPv4 is a 32-bit address (4 numbers from 0 to 255), for example 192.0.2.1. IPv6 is a 128-bit address in hexadecimal format, for example 2001:db8::1. IPv6 is formally "newer" and has more addresses, but in practice most target sites — social networks, banks, anti-fraud systems — either don't support IPv6, or keep it in separate pools with reduced trust. IPv6 addresses often trigger additional checks or are blocked by default. Old parsing software (BAS, ZennoPoster, some Python libraries) also works poorly with IPv6 without additional configuration. ProxyElite deliberately sells only IPv4 proxies to guarantee compatibility with any site without additional diagnostics. If your task is a predictable result, IPv4 is the working choice in 2026.
Prohibited to use proxies for
IP checking is a legal tool. But using proxies for the following purposes is prohibited — this applies to all plans.
The full list of restrictions is in the service rules. If violated, proxies are blocked without refund.

Possible reasons: you're using a VPN or proxy; the provider uses NAT and changes the IP; the geolocation database is outdated. ProxyElite checks geolocation via RIPE — the official source. If Google, Yandex, or Meta show a different country, this is due to their own geo databases, which are not available for external verification.
