Proxy servers are special nodes that help ensure security and anonymity on the Internet. They can also be used to bypass ISP or government blocking and filtering. Setting up a proxy in Opera allows you to bypass these restrictions and protect your personal data from unwanted access.

To start setting up a proxy in Opera, you need to open the browser itself and go to settings. To do this, click on the "Menu" button in the upper left corner of the screen and select "Settings".

Next, go to the "Advanced" tab and select "Security" in the list on the left. Here you will find the "Proxies" section, where you can configure a connection through a proxy.

To add a new proxy server, click on the "Add" button and enter the proxy address and port that your ISP or administrator provided to you. You can also select the proxy type (HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS) and specify a username and password if required for authentication.

Once you have added the required settings, click on the "OK" button to save the changes. Your browser will now use the specified proxy server to connect to the Internet securely.

If you need to disable proxies or change settings, simply return to the "Proxies" section and edit the appropriate settings.
